What to file

For court-approved forms, always use the official TexasLawHelp.org guides below. They come straight from the source, and the forms are updated there. Each guide has step-by-step instructions. TexasLawHelp.org forms are designed for agreed or default cases. If your case is contested, get legal help if you can.

⚠ Before you use these forms: two quick questions

1. Does the other side agree on everything, or were they served and have not filed an answer?

2. Are you free of a pending protective order or family violence, and of disputes over a house, retirement, or a business?

Local additions: many counties have a standing order you must attach to your petition, plus extra local forms such as a civil case information sheet. Check your district clerk's website for "documents and forms."

No approved form? Our templates

Where no official form exists (for example, a hearing plan, an evidence log, or a conference log), we provide Pro Se Academy checklists and templates. They are clearly labeled as unofficial. Enforcement: TexasLawHelp.org does not provide child-support enforcement forms. Contact the OAG or a lawyer.
