About & sources
Pro Se Academy is an educational resource for people representing themselves in Texas family court. This website is not a substitute for the advice of an attorney. It is not legal advice. It is not a law firm, it is not affiliated with any court, and it does not create an attorney-client relationship.
Local rules
Lessons cover statewide Texas law. Local rules and standing orders differ by county, so check your court's local rules and standing orders. See Local rules & standing orders.

We did not use the State Bar of Texas Texas Family Law Practice Manual (a paid publication). Many public law libraries carry it. TexasLawHelp.org recommends it, along with O'Connor's Texas Family Law Handbook, for deeper research.
